Bridger Smithers, DVM/Owner

Dr. Bridger Smithers was born and raised in Atlanta, Texas. His love for animals developed early in life and by the age of seven he knew he wanted to be a veterinarian like his father, Dr. Mark Smithers. Fast forward to 2015 when Dr. Smithers graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation, he began his career practicing medicine in a busy 5-doctor, mixed-animal clinic in northeast Texas. In 2017, he moved to Arkansas and established Smithers Animal Hospital in West Fork. Dr. Smithers has generational roots in Arkansas and was eager for the opportunity to serve the northwest region of the state. He and his wife, Andrea, and son, Ezra, enjoy being part of the small community of West Fork. Their pet family includes two beautiful cats, Jack and Mosby, and one dog, Cruz, that hang out at the hospital every day. Cruz is a two-year-old malti-poo that is fun and loving and serves as the mascot of Smithers Animal Hospital.
